Manchester Georgia is located approximately 40 miles
Northeast of Columbus and 80 miles Southwest of Atlanta.
The railfan platform is located just off of Broad Street (GA
85) in the parking lot on the left side of the road just before
crossing the bridge over CSX'S mainline if your going North
from Columbus or on the right just as you cross the bridge if
coming south from Atlanta on GA 85.

The railfan platform provides an excellent view of the
North-South and East -West mainlines at this division point
Manchester also has a working dispatch office in the old
depot where you can see several crew changes per day.
The platform is equipped with a scanner, rail line map,
electricity, 2 picnic tables, and a porta toilet.
Also the Broad Street bridge has a sidewalk on both sides of
the road and it too provides a good view of the yard, depot,
and the mainlines.
